Location:
Online | Passcode: d&K8EBeE
Description:
On May 12, 2026, we hosted a virtual design session with community residents to imagine what the initial activation space can look like for the project. During the session, we shared information about the project and its phasing plan, recapped previous meetings, shared key findings from the community survey, and broke out into two smaller groups to brainstorm ideas for the space.
Each group focused on key elements for the space: site signage, seating, shading, landscaping, orchard and discussed potential programming for the space. Here are the ideas boards from each group.

Community conversations and online engagement activities demonstrated strong enthusiasm and support for realizing the project as a vibrant neighborhood destination. Residents shared a collective vision for a welcoming public space that brings together recreation, culture, commerce, and community life. Key ideas included the creation of a public park and green space, outdoor markets, recreational amenities such as a dog park, benches, flower beds, trees, walkways, and play areas for kids. Community members also expressed interest in incorporating a stage or performance space to support cultural events and neighborhood programming.
These ideas reflect a desire for an active, inclusive, and multifunctional space that strengthens community connections and celebrates local identity.
